Are you passionate about helping people and making a real difference in their lives? We’re looking for a dedicated Payment Support Advisor to join our team. In this crucial role, you will be responsible for collecting rent arrears and other housing-related debts, working respectfully and proactively with our customers to help them take control of their debt and remain in their homes.
This is a part time role working 24.5 hours over a 5-day week.
What you’ll be doing ποΈ
Recover arrears and other debts according to procedures.
Monitor accounts in arrears, including new tenancies.
Contact customers promptly, offering tailored support.
Refer customers to support services to prevent tenancy failure.
Agree on affordable payment plans with customers.
Apply for direct payments to prevent tenancy failure.
Prepare paperwork for notices, possession proceedings, and evictions.
Represent the business in court for relevant proceedings.
Maintain accurate records of actions taken.
Stay updated on best practices and suggest improvements.
Provide advice on benefits and use benefit tools.
Manage and challenge benefit overpayment requests.
Collaborate with other teams for seamless service.
Process credit refunds according to procedures.
